Part 1. First Time
(In the cabin of a China Airways flight)
Sabrina: Excuse me, is this 36c?
James: Oh, you're right. I am sorry, I am sitting on the wrong seat, I'm 36b, over here.
(James is happily surprised that a very pretty Chinese girl will be his neighbor for the coming flight to Beijing)
James: (After moving to 36b, James introduces himself to Sabrina) Nice to meet you, my name is James.
Sabrina: Sabrina. Good to meet you too.
James : Are you from Beijing?
Sabrina: Yes, well, at least that's where my parents live.
James: What have you been doing in LA? Are you a student, or over on business?
Sabrina: I was a student. Just graduated from UCLA, so I'm heading home to see the family and get a job.
James: What kind of job are you hoping to land?
Sabrina: Actually, I already found one. I'm going to write for a magazine called Bilingual Time.
James: That sounds great. We might be able to collaborate on some articles in the future. I'm less than a Hemingway but with the right tools I can express myself just as clearly and poetically. That's kind of why I'm going to China. Look for inspiration, find new angles on life and relationships that I'd never experience in the U.S.
Sabrina: I can introduce you to some friends of mine in Beijing if you'd like, they should be picking me up at the airport. I doubt that you have much trouble making friends.
James: Thanks, that will be wonderful! Let me show you something. (James takes out a camera) I usually like to travel off the beaten track, I try to capture the experience and people I meet through this lens. This is last year in Egypt. (James shows pictures to Sabrina)
